VH1 is putting a 21st-century twist on "To Tell the Truth." Instead of guessing someone's occupation, a panel of celebrity guests will try to figure out whether a person is gay or straight.

Yep, it's called "Gaydar."

Shooting on the show's pilot is underway, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Former "American Idol" co-host Brian Dunkleman will take up hosting duties for the show.

"Gaydar" is set up along the lines of the classic game show "To Tell the Truth." A three-person panel of celebrities will interact with three contestants whose sexual orientation is a secret. The panelists will play a series of games with the contestants, then try to determine whether each is gay or straight. Correct guesses win a donation to charity.

Comic Scott Kennedy, a co-creator of the "Gay Comedy Jam" tour, has signed on as one of the panelists.

"Gaydar" comes from executive producer Michael Davies, best known as the mastermind of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."
